Apple WWDC 2009 Keynote - Bertrand Serlet talks about Windows 7 and Snow Leopard
That was literally a simple Power Point 😂 Nowadays they spend 40 million dollars for a Keynote
Those were a thing of beauty not the ugly cardboard boxes they’re making now. They should’ve left the same design. But again Jonny isn’t there & neither is Steve..so.. naturally things have declined.
i still have my quad G5 tower. useless as a computer, but excellent as a space heater.
The biggest scammer in the world
You're just salty you didn't buy the stock at $18 in 2001. You missed out, papi.
Lol, Apple was making those 30" displays for $210 and selling them for $3299... no wonder Apple became a $2 trillion dollar company. People blindly paid anything to be "first"
Bought one 7 days ago fully loaded, 16gb ram, 2gb harddrive, upgraded video card, Mac OX 10.6.8, for $100. I time traveled, I now own the world's slowest computer that is fun to drive.
they should do this with mobile cellular phones
I just got one of these for free at a garage sale
Nice show. It make my want 2006-2010 Mac Pro.
Why did he dress like a sad dad
Got one of these 23'' guys a few days ago and all I can say is, good displays stay good.
This is the machine that revolutionized the industry.
iPod
Went all the way from leopard to ventura and no update felt as good as from Leopard to SL. Just a rewritten, optimized OS that gave me back 6GB of my precious hard drive.
At the time, it was easy and clear to know what mac you should get without getting confused with all different "in line" choices. Apple is losing this core value simplicity And post covid effect...and the laziness it gave to top management at apple....now all product presentation are made separately from their fans and the dedicated journalist. There no more close contact that made this multi billion company feel like its a startup. Now it is managed like a multi billion company where everything is made like ads.
I have a lot of Japanese songs on my iPhone 15...mostly Hatsune Miku and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. I don't understand the lyrics, but they're still fun to listen to.
Reason they were faster is apple didnt give a sht about ppw. These things were power hungry hogs.
0:55 i still have this very computer
This didn’t age well
3:58 If they could in 2007 they definitley can add memory expansion slots today... and not get stuck with 8gb of memory...
Kudos to Apple for being able to utilise G5 to its full potential even though the machine itself is completely garbage.
How it was garbage? When it was released it offered pretty good performance.
This presentation is 21 years old as I type this comment.... Even in these "Apple is hip again days" it is amazing to see how many numbers they threw at people. Granted it was WWDC, but the last WWDC was 2023 and aside from a few things regarding graphics and specs, it was mostly aimed at the idea of, "it's so simple!" You'd think, 20 years on, humans would be more adapted to tech, but it turns out selling tech to people is getting harder and harder. You really have to almost pick up someone else's finger, place it on the touch screen and then look at their eyes and say, "did you see how it reacted?" And yet you still have a 50/50 chance of them saying, "yeah".
that watermark on the video just ruined the whole thing
Ipod wasn't thing back then.
"Ya I know 😥"
How to play on Mac Pro mid 2015?
Still the best iPod Nano ever made by far !
2024 and i am still rockin my 2006 MacPro, is spite of Apples enforced planned obsolescence.
jobs hated this imac design privately lol - he wanted to stick with the sunflower … i dont blame him
It’s actually insane how well the engineers at Apple made this look beautiful while also making it incredibly thermal efficient due to the G5. I miss this Apple. They never compromised.
zo good
Remember, when Apple makes a new design for their product, it’s the most amazing design ever, and when Apple puts something new in the old design, it’s incredible how they fit all this technology in rhetorical same familiar package.
Steve, Should we put it in here? Audience, Yeah! Steve, No.
Bertrand is the guy that came up with how iOS feels. He wanted it to be like a piece of paper under your finger.
Cant believe affordability was actually a part of Apples Marketing at one point xD
The 30” has fewer pixels than the current 14” MacBook Pros lol
What an amazing person he was! A true inspiration for sure! Miss him so much 🖤😮💨
A forgotten gem on Mac
RECORDED and EDITED by Sven88bac. Cool! The channel guy was the camera man back then!!
I hate pre-recorded crap on today's Apple events. They destroyed Steve's tradition of Apple.
the funny thing is.. i had that dell system and i had it as a hackintosh and i can tell you it was just as fast as my g5.
Those were the times when Apple introduced a new computer with better specs at.a lower price. This is unthinkable under Tim Cook.
How many transitions did this company make, each transition was accompanied by another financial expense. From Motorola 68K processor to PPC, Intel and now Apple silicon... what will be the next transition? Back to Intel or AMD? In any case, I'm done with Apple, I moved to a PC and I don't understand how I didn't do it a long time ago.
In fairness, each processor move was roughly 12-14 years apart. They moved from Motorola to PPC in 1994. They moved from PPC to Intel in 2006. They moved from Intel to Apple Silicon in 2020. I don’t think it’s unreasonable that they change the chip architecture every 12 years. How long are you keeping your machine? In the PC world especially… we get barely 4 years out of our Dells. Windows has always been a proper shit show.
@@MikeLikesChannel It's not just the hardware, in Windows 11 I still run old software and plug-ins. This way the financial investment is kept on the PC, in addition to the fact that every transition involves software compatibility problems and bugs.

@@uribak9144 I tend to get about 6 years out of each Mac I buy and I’m a very demanding user. My mom isn’t, she’s on a 2010 iMac that’s 13 years old and she loves it for basic social media (in fairness it has an SSD). My bro is on a 2013 iMac and for an attorney it does fine too. These are long lived machines. Windows 11… well, 2+ years into it and our 16,000 machines in the enterprise remain on 10. Major W8 vibes.
もうガリッガリやんけジョブズ
2:08 we hate leapord
Apple is literally an a hole to me rn
0:31 no it is not successful 0:48 it is far by the worst operating system ever
the original cheese grater... the best case ever made
I wish the iMac got love in the same way now because it’s really one of the best ideas they had
この辺から一気に老けが加速してんなジョブズ・・・ G5発表ん時は結構ふっくらしてたのに
